Emergencies can happen anywhere, at home, at work, or in the community. HLTAID011 is a nationally accredited course covering the essential skills to respond to a wide range of medical emergencies, from bleeding and burns to cardiac events, in line with current ARC guidelines. Practical, hands-on, and taught by experienced healthcare professionals.

This nationally accredited course (HLTAID011: Provide First Aid) equips you with the skills and knowledge to respond effectively to a wide range of emergencies. You’ll learn how to provide CPR, use an AED, and deliver first aid for common injuries, illnesses, and medical conditions. Training is highly practical, hands-on, and delivered by experienced trainers who bring real-world expertise into every scenario.

HLTAID011: Provide First Aid is delivered as a blended course: online pre-learning completed in your own time, followed by a face-to-face practical session of a minimum of 6 hours. This is our standard delivery, the Express option has been retired so every learner receives the full scope of training and assessment.
Online pre-learning must be completed before attending the practical session and takes approximately 2 hours. The practical component is held in-person with one of our paramedic trainers.
Payments for HLTAID011 are processed through our training partner ABC First Aid via their secure Stripe payment link. Once you book through ABC’s platform you’ll be guided through payment, credit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay are all supported. For group or invoiced bookings, please get in touch and we’ll arrange it directly.

Learners are assessed through a combination of written theory questions and practical skills demonstrations. To be deemed competent, you must complete the online pre-learning, demonstrate the DRSABCD action plan, perform effective CPR for at least two minutes, demonstrate first aid management of common injuries and medical emergencies, and respond correctly to scenario-based questions.
On successful completion, you receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for three units: HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support, and HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, issued by ABC First Aid (RTO 3399).
Please note: enrolment in this course does not guarantee a successful outcome. Competency is determined by the assessor based on your performance against the unit requirements.
TIDE Education delivers HLTAID011 on behalf of ABC Licence Training Pty Ltd (RTO 3399, operating since 1997), a Registered Training Organisation regulated by ASQA. All Statements of Attainment for this course are issued by ABC First Aid as the issuing RTO. This course includes three units of competency: HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support, and HLTAID011 Provide First Aid.
